Coffee’s Story
Tierra Blanca is a community located on the Pacific coast of the state of Oaxaca (a five-hour drive from Oaxaca City) in the middle of the Zapotec culture well known for its wool carpets, fabrics, terracotta pottery, and floral embroidery.
The municipality of Tierra Blanca is labeled “Pluma”, still not an official controlled denomination of origin – the coffee committee of the state of Oaxaca is working on it to enhance the local coffee production. All the producers we work with are FTO and CP certified and members of the coop UNECAFE.
This community lot is made of several micro batches (some producers only produce one bag of parchment a week!). Currently, the coffee is stored in grain pro bags in our central warehouse in Oaxaca City.
